All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement that will be provided at the time of booking confirmation or vehicle pickup. This document outlines the specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, applicable charges, and your responsibilities associated with the rental. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Renting a vehicle requires:
- To rent a vehicle from Car Hire in Beeston, you must be at least 21 years old, though age restrictions may differ based on the vehicle type, and drivers under 25 may incur extra charges. A valid full driving licence is required, along with valid identification and proof of your current address. Additionally, you must provide valid payment details and a security deposit, as well as comply with any further requirements outlined in the Rental Agreement.
Booking and Payment Process
- Reservations can be arranged via our website, by telephone, or directly at our Beeston office. A booking deposit may be necessary to confirm your reservation. The total payment and security deposit are generally required upon vehicle pickup. All prices are presented in British Pounds (£) and include VAT as applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of collection, you are required to conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle and promptly report any pre-existing damage. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and signed to document this. It is important to return the vehicle in the same condition as it was received, accounting for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and may incur additional charges. Please ensure that the vehicle is returned with the same fuel level as at collection; refueling fees will apply for vehicles returned with less fuel. Late returns may result in extra charges, so please inform us as soon as possible if you anticipate a delay. You will be responsible for any parking fines, traffic violations, or charges incurred during your rental, in addition to an administrative fee.
Insurance and Liability Terms

Options for additional insurance may be available to minimize your financial liability, so we suggest reviewing these options thoroughly. You will be liable for any damage or loss up to the insurance excess amount, unless you opt for extra coverage. Damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violation of these Terms remains your responsibility, regardless of existing insurance.
Cancellation and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies depend on the type of booking and the notice given. For precise details, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Late cancellations or failure to show up may incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Vehicle Uses
- Use of the vehicle for any illegal activities is prohibited. This includes racing, rallying, off-roading, or any hazardous driving practices. Transporting dangerous materials is not allowed. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is strictly forbidden. Operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs is unacceptable. Additionally, the vehicle should not be used for purposes it was not designed for, and it is important to adhere to passenger and weight limits. Driving outside of agreed geographical boundaries without prior authorization is also prohibited.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and fees.
8. Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Beeston is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, related to your use of our services. Our maximum liability for any claims will not exceed the total amount paid for your rental in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence or fraudulent actions.
9. Applicable Law
These Terms are regulated by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
10. Updates to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
